What is Lekvar?

Have you heard of the term lekvar?

If you want to make your own apricot or plum butter, here is a great recipe.

I haven’t tried it yet but if you are watching your sugar intake or you want to go back to your roots, making your own filling is the way. Apricot and plum lekvar is plentiful in Hungary because many people have their own trees in the backyard and think nothing of making it! But, if this is your first time making kifli, you might want to not stress yourself out by also making the filling.
