Pogácsa

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk lukewarm
  • 3 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 egg 1 egg for dough, 1 egg yolk for egg wash
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix lukewarm milk, sugar, and yeast and let it start to bubble – about 5-10 minutes.
  • Mix all the ingredients together. (Optional: add shredded cheese). Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough about ¾ inch thick and cut with a mini biscuit cutter or shot glass dipped in flour each time. I used parchment paper on my cookie sheets.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
